HelpSystems (now Fortra) Adds Document Lifecycle Management to its IT Automation Portfolio with Acquisition of RJS Software

Suite of products helps companies go paperless and efficiently manage the lifecycle of documents and data across multiple platforms; on-premises or in the cloud

Minneapolis, MN, July 1, 2014HelpSystems, a leading provider of systems management, security and compliance, and business intelligence software, today announced the acquisition of RJS Software Systems, Inc. (RJS) and its suite of document management solutions.

RJS provides a comprehensive suite of solutions that help small to medium-size enterprises (SMEs) automate paper based business processes by electronically managing the entire lifecycle of their critical documents and data.

“The solutions from RJS fit well with the rest of HelpSystems portfolio of products dedicated to improving productivity in our customer environments and automating key business processes,” said Janet Dryer, CEO of HelpSystems. “In addition, this acquisition accelerates the growth of our business that is dedicated to delivering software solutions that run on multiple computer platforms.”

RJS’ customer base spans multiple industries ranging from government, education and healthcare, to manufacturing, retail, and hospitality.  The company’s flexible solutions integrate with industry-specific business applications such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, JDA, JD Edwards, Infor, Epicor, Optimum Solutions, and more.

“Up to this point in the company history, RJS has focused its business on building high quality products that help our customers gain efficiencies in their business and recognize a business ROI in less than a year,” said Richard Schoen, Owner, President, and CTO of RJS. “With the resources and support of an organization like HelpSystems, RJS has the opportunity to scale faster and capture a larger share of the growing market for enterprise content and document management.”
