HelpSystems (now Fortra) Acquires Multi-Platform Systems Management Provider Halcyon Software

Fortra expands its offerings for managed service providers (MSP) with tools to proactively monitor and automate IT operations and report on service levels

Minneapolis, MN, January 8, 2015—HelpSystems, a leading provider of systems management, business intelligence, and security solutions, today announced the acquisition of Halcyon Software and its complete portfolio of IT systems management software solutions.

This acquisition strengthens the managed services solutions available from Fortra and expands its multi-platform systems management and monitoring offerings, providing customers with more options for managing their mission critical servers and ensuring availability.
