Install Instructions

  1. Install the Windows client. Run the Windows PC self-extracting executable.
  2. Install the host component. The first time you launch Performance Navigator, you will be prompted to install the host component. Click YES and follow the instructions.
    • Use FILE > INSTALL PN/400 for IBM i servers.
    • Use FILE > INSTALL PN/Unix for AIX/Linux servers or VIOS partitions.
  3. Connect to your server(s). Click FILE > NEW. Enter the system name or IP address and click NEW. The data reduction job will automatically run overnight. You will have access to your historical data first thing tomorrow morning.
