Carlos Nolting

Carlos Nolting is a software solutions engineer for IBM i. He began his career 35 years ago as an AS/400 application programmer at a European multinational company. A few months later, unhappy with the system’s performance, he learned Machine Interface and developed a utility that dynamically changed the priority of jobs based on their excessive CPU usage. That utility was subsequently greatly improved and sold with great success by Tango/04.

Today, Carlos remains passionate about IBM i; and, thanks to his technical expertise on the platform, he is able to offer Fortra clients advice on software, services, and configurations that help them achieve much more secure, efficient, and reliable computing.
